Newsletter - February 2021

A newsletter from Building Strong Families, Inc.

And Dr. Pauline M. Rivers

February 2021

2020 was quite a year! Despite the challenges that many of us faced in 2020, and despite a rocky start to 2021, we are blessed with another year to serve, to be a blessing and to do some good.

So, we are excited about 2021! We start each year believing that it will be an Ephesians 3:20 year—that God will do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. And we have big dreams and plans and expectations for 2021!

We are always looking for new ways to serve you. Last March when the pandemic hit, we had to slow down, press pause, and re-imagine how to provide services and stay connected. Like so many of you, we discovered ZOOM! Our women’s support group, Time with My Sisters, found a new “temporary” platform and started meeting on ZOOM. We also hosted our first emotional and mental health wellness seminar in December, also using ZOOM. The virtual technology has allowed us to expand our reach beyond Florida, and that’s exciting!

So even though the pandemic slowed us down, it has not stopped us! We look forward to seeing you soon, virtually on ZOOM, and as soon as it is safe, we’ll see you live and in person at one of our seminars or conferences.

We can only do what we do because you support us. So, thank you. And as often as you think of us, please remember to pray for us….

AN ENCOURAGING WORD…for Families

Keep Believing!

Have you been standing a long time for something? Praying, and believing for a breakthrough? Waiting for a situation to change, a door to open, a relationship to turn around, a healing to manifest?

Sometimes while we are waiting, fighting the good fight to stay in faith, we can start to grow weary, especially when it seems like nothing is happening, or when it feels like the answer is taking too long. But no matter what it looks like or feels like, we have to keep believing. If it seems impossible, keep believing. If it seems improbable, like it is not going to happen at all, keep believing. If you’re tired or worried or at the end of your rope, keep believing. Believe and speak the promises. Believe and put in whatever work is necessary. Believe and be determined that you will not give up. And in due season (Galatians 6:9), at the time that God has already appointed (Habakkuk 2:2), the situation will change, the door will open, the relationship will heal, the healing will manifest.

Not one of God’s good promises has ever failed (1 Kings 8:56). All of His promises are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). So, we can confidently confess, for ourselves and for our families, “…I believe God that it shall be exactly as He said” (Acts 27:25).

Be blessed! Be well! And keep believing!
